ACAA only publishes original and plagiarism-free work with a similarity rate of less than 20% that has yet to be published elsewhere. The work should also be free of recycling content and have reasonable self-citation (at a maximum of 5 times of total references). ACAA follows the following plagiarism policies:
• When a manuscript is received, the editorial office will check the work for its similarity rate, which should be lower than 20% using the Turnitin anti-plagiarism software. If the similarity rate is higher than 20%, the work will be resent back to the author, and they will be asked to reduce the similarity rate.
• Manuscript is also checked for self-citation and self-plagiarism. If there is an unreasonable amount of self-citation/self-plagiarism, the work will be resent back to the author, where they will be asked to amend the manuscript.
• If a reviewer detects unreasonable amounts of plagiarism, the reviewer will contact the editorial office, and appropriate decisions will be made.
• If a reader detects that one of the published articles contains plagiarized content, they are advised to send an email, with sufficient proof/evidence, to the editorial office notifying them about the plagiarism case. The editorial office will investigate the issue and take appropriate actions where necessary.
